Smart Home Locks


A connected lock offers both security and flexibility, providing you with keyless access to your home that can be controlled via your smartphone or the Internet. Smart home locks are a combination of a mechanical and electronic fastening device that is released by a physical object—such as a key, keycard, keypad, fingerprint, RFID card or security—when secret information like a combination code, password or other coded data is provided.

Low Dropout (LDO)/Buck Regulator

  • MIC5232 - This ultra-low quiescent current, low-dropout linear regulator can operate from a single-cell lithium-ion battery and consumes only 1.8 µA of quiescent current while providing 10 mA of output current and low output noise, making it well suited for stand-by or keep-alive applications.

Wireless Connectivity

  • RN4870 or BM70 – This Bluetooth® Low Energy module is designed for easy implementation into a broad range of applications. It delivers up to 2.5 times faster throughput and enables more secure connections than Bluetooth 4.1-based products. It can be used to establish the connectivity between the lock and a smartphone to unlock the door when the phone is in the immediate vicinity. The module’s low-power Bluetooth radio enables power-efficient wireless communication for longer battery life. A complete Bluetooth software stack is integrated in the device, and a shielded regulatory-certified version with built-in antenna is also available.

Boost Regulator
