Microchip duplicated the thorough compatibility testing previously undertook on the MG04 to MG08 models of Toshiba Enterprise Capacity HDDs, testing the basic functionality and compatibility of the interfaces, including hot-plug, power-on and reboot tests. The company also confirmed long-term stability via an extended duration test.

Toshiba 18 TB MG09 Enterprise Drives
The recently launched MG09 series is based on Toshiba’s proprietary third-generation, nine-disk, helium-sealed design that incorporates game-changing Flux Control-Microwave Assisted Magnetic Recording (FC-MAMR) technology. With 12.5 percent more capacity than the previous 16 TB models, the 18 TB MG09 series drives are compatible with the widest range of applications and operating systems.
